Welsh Education Solicitors
Working from our offices in Cardiff our Welsh Education Solicitors are ideally placed to handle the specialist needs of our Welsh clients.
Education Law is a key part of the service offered by the HCB Group and our team of dedicated professionals provide a helpline aimed at providing legal advice when you need it most. All our solicitors are highly experienced education law specialists who understand the wants and needs of our clients.
We can provide support across a broad range of Educational matters and can support our Welsh clients with;
- Statutory Assessments
- Statements of Special Educational Needs
- SHow to appeal to SENTW
- How to appeal to the Upper Tribunal
- Changes to SEN / ALN in Wales
With specific regards to our clients in Wales there are three graduated stages of intervention:
- School Action. Additional support provided by schools themselves.
- School Action Plus. Additional support by schools together with the involvement of external agencies.
- Statement of Special Educational Needs. This provides a legal entitlement to a specified package of support.
Each of the three items above can be challenged courtesy of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal for Wales. As you may expect we will support your goals as required.
What’s more we understand the concerns of parents and recognise that sometimes having a person to speak to, over the phone or in person, is as important as discussing SEN legalities and it’s implications. We will look to understand your circumstances in order to provide the requisite advice and we will take a view that reflects the practicalities of life merged with your goals and ambitions.
Furthermore we understand that this will be a stressful time for yourself, as either a student or parent, and we will act with the same understanding we would expect if matters were reversed and we were a prospective client.
To discuss a specific matter in greater detail please call our education helpline on 0333 202 7175 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
